The very small team of volunteer parents who have been running the group over the past few years have recently taken the difficult decision to stand down.

At present there are no other volunteers ready to take on the running of the group. There will therefore, regrettably, be no more Sheffield SANDS meetings until new volunteers come forward to train as befrienders and restart a group. If you think that this is something you may be interested in doing, please contact Sue Hale (National SANDS Group Services Manager), on 0845 6520443.

As always, SANDS Head Office will continue to be available to provide support to anyone who has been affected by the death of a baby through its website at www.uk-sands.org and on the following telephone numbers 0207 4365881 (helpline), and 0207 4367940 (general enquiries). They can also provide details of meetings being held in other places, such as Leeds, Nottingham and Derby, which you would be welcome to attend until the Sheffield group is restarted.
